Fill, Quantize & Clear
Per-column tools for rapid pattern building. Fill a channel at regular intervals, snap notes to the grid, or clear a column in one click.
Fill at Interval
Populate a channel at regular musical intervals. A modal picker lets you choose the interval and the note to place. Four interval modes cover common rhythmic patterns.
- - 1/4 — every beat (one note per rows-per-beat)
- - 1/8 — every eighth note (twice per beat)
- - 1/16 — every sixteenth note (four per beat)
- - Triplets — three evenly-spaced notes per two beats
- - Note and instrument selection in the fill modal
Quantize to Grid
The Q button in each column header snaps all notes on that channel to the nearest grid position. Uses the global quantize setting from the transport bar.
- - Per-column quantize — fix timing on individual channels
- - Grid options: 1/1, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/16, 1/32, or off
- - Notes round to nearest grid boundary (half-grid threshold)
- - Global quantize setting shared with note entry
- - Non-destructive with undo — snap back if you don't like it
Clear Column
The small x button in each column header removes all notes from that channel in the current pattern. Turns red on hover as a visual warning.
- - One click to wipe an entire channel in the current pattern
- - Red highlight on hover to prevent accidental clicks
- - Only affects the visible pattern — other patterns are untouched
- - Fully reversible with Ctrl+Z or the UNDO button
